Objectives and Goals

The History Freshman Learning Community seeks to:

• Ensure that entering History majors get a structured and coherent program of courses for the freshman year and ensure that they receive the advice and mentoring they need to succeed in History at UNC Charlotte.
• Provide entering freshmen with an intellectually stimulating set of courses during their first year.
• Establish personal connections between faculty and students that continue to develop throughout the students time at UNC Charlotte.
• Create and foster a sense of community among undergraduates in the major, particularly through the extracurricular activities.
